Early Childhood Screenings (ECS)
Early Childhood Screening provides an opportunity for 3 to 4 year old children
and their parents to participate in a health and development screening.  The
purpose of Early Childhood Screening is to detect and seek solutions to
conditions interfering with young children's growth, development and learning.
In Minnesota, state law requires screening for all children entering public
school kindergarten.  Early Childhood Screening is FREE and includes the following
components:

  • growth (height and weight)

  • sensory (hearing and vision)

  • development (cognitive, socio-emotional, fine/gross motor, speech/language)

  • immunization review

  • family factors

  • health history

  • summary interview
