Opening Your Account

To start NEW service in Breckenridge:

Stop into Breckenridge Public Utilities at 420 Nebraska Ave. We'll need the following items: 

1. Application (application- Click Here) 

2. Copy of a photo ID

3. 12 month letter of credit from your current utilities or an advance payment needed

To move service from Breckenridge to new Breckenridge:

Stop into Breckenridge Public Utilities at 420 Nebraska Ave. We'll need the following items: 

1. New application (application- Click Here) 

2. Zero late payments/disconnects from BPU or an advance payment needed.

Closing Your Account

To close your account, please call us at least a day or two before you move. We'll need your present address, last day of service, and a forwarding address for mailing your final bill. Any deposit to be refunded will be credited toward your final bill.
