    1. Proclamation – designating May 12th as Norwegian Constitution Day “Syttende Mai”

  5. Motion to approve the Consent Agenda.

Consent Agenda:

  1. Motion to approve the minutes of the regular City Council meeting on April 1, 2024.

  2. Motion approving the filing of the Public Utility Commission meeting minutes of April 1, 2024

  3. Motion approving a quote from RDO Equipment in the amount of $10,105.61 for the repairs to the Motor Grader. (paid out of Capital Outlay)

City Council Minutes -unofficial until next meeting

Pursuant to due call and proper notice thereof, a meeting of the Breckenridge City Council was held on April 15, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., City Hall Council Chambers, Breckenridge, Minnesota.

Members Present:   Vice-Mayor Scott Wermerskirchen; Council Members Beth Meyer, Evie Fox, Reed Johnson, Jim Jawaski and Chris Vedder.  City Administrator Lori Conway. 

Members Absent:  Mayor Russell Wilson and City Attorney Jason Butts.

Vice-Mayor Wermerskirchen called the meeting to order at 5:01 p.m.

Council Member Jawaski moved to approve the agenda with the additions of 6D – Public Hearing for the Southside Drainage Improvement project and awarding a contract to KPH for said project.  Seconded by Council Member Meyer and carried unanimously.

Open Discussion:   

  • Several members of the Sons of Norway Henrik Ibsen Lodge were present.  Vice-Mayor Wermerskirchen proclaimed May 12th as Norwegian Constitution Day “Syttende Mai”.   

  • Connie Hutton requested to have someone come and look at her alley as she feels there is too much gravel on it and the water keeps draining into everyone’s yard.  Her information was taken and the Public Works will look into it.                                                

Motion by Council Member Johnson to approve the Consent Agenda.  Seconded by Council Member Vedder and carried unanimously.  The Consent Agenda included the following:
